Mission Statement: VISION: AFRICA 2010
Compelled by our passion for the glory of God and His holiness, we commit ourselves to bring the light of the glorious gospel of Christ through every ministry of the Africa Inland Mission International.
DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD TO THE PEOPLES OF AFRICA
1. By continued and strategic participation with the Church in the preparation of Christ-like leaders for the Church in all areas of life.
2. By actively pursuing outreach, spear-headed by fervent prayer, to African peoples who are unreached with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. By confronting the challenges presented by the rapid urban growth through the proclamation of God’s truth to people of all walks of life.
4. By so demonstrating the compassion of Christ to the victims of disease, poverty, famine and violence that people find wholeness in Christ.
5. By demonstrating the claims of Christ to Africa’s millions of children and youth through every possible means.
6. By declaring the Gospel of hope and purity to those affected or endangered by the scourge of HIV/AIDS.

Organisational summary: AIM is an Evangelical interdenominational organisation whose foundations go back to 1905. AIM retains its emphasis on facilitating full-time Missionaries in evangelising, discipling, training and counselling work, ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to indigenous Australians.
AIM also appoints TEAM Partners to work in secular employment in cities, towns, and Aboriginal communities to encourage and support local Christians, and as a means of witness and outreach.
AIM is concerned to lay a foundation for a sound Indigenous Church. Applied practical Christianity is developing good living skills, better health and education, and an ability to cope with temptation and trouble.
AIM workers are dependant on the prayerful and financial support of the broader Christian community for the necessary resources to help them carry on their local ministries. |
